Getting started with your driving journey can feel overwhelming, but Comfort Driving 365 is here to guide you. We’ll support you every step of the way—from preparing for your theory test to passing your practical driving exam. With expert instructors and helpful resources, we make it easy to navigate the process. Below, we’ve broken down each step to help you confidently begin your path to earning a full driving licence.

Steps to Getting Started

  • Step 1. First, get ready for your Theory Test at your convenience! Download the Official Theory Test App on your smartphone or computer. You can study anywhere, anytime, ensuring you’re fully prepared. The app offers practice tests, tips, and all the essential information to help you succeed.
  • Step 2. Once you’re ready, apply for your Theory Test. Passing this test is essential before moving on to practical lessons and your driving test.
  • Step 3. Next, apply for your Learner Permit. You can download the application form here. For additional details, visit our Blog for helpful tips on applying for a Learner Permit.
  • Step 4. Afterward, complete your Essential Driver Training (EDT) Course with Comfort Driving 365. For each lesson:
    • A vehicle will be provided if you don’t have one.
    • Ensure you bring your learner’s permit.
    • You can pay by cash, bank transfer, or Revolut.
    • The meeting point will be Oranmore town for Carnmore test routes, and Westside McDonald’s car park for Clybaun test routes.
  • Step 5. Additionally, follow the 6-Month Rule. First-time Learner Permit holders must wait six months from the permit issue date before sitting their driving test unless they hold a valid full licence from another country.

  • Step 7. To prepare, take Pretest Lessons with our expert instructors at Comfort Driving 365, refining your skills and boosting your confidence.
  • Step 8. Pass Your Driving Test. Our driving instructors are highly trained and guarantee you an outstanding service with exceptional value for money.
