Our Student Says…

I trained with Comfort Driving School for my ADI (Road Safety Authority Approved Driving Instructor) exams. I found Comfort Driving School to be very professional and easy to deal with. Daniel, the instructor, is an excellent teacher who matches the level of training he provides to the needs and ability of each student. He creates an informal and relaxed environment conducive to learning. Daniel has a thorough knowledge of road safety procedures and traffic legislation and he imparts this knowledge very well. I was fully prepared for my ADI exams from the training that I received from Comfort Driving School. I would highly recommend this school to both learner drivers and experienced drivers who are preparing for advanced driving tests or who wish to improve their driving skills.

Riding a motorbike is a huge responsibility and since I hadn’t got up on a motorcycle for the last ten years I felt that my skills were extremely rusty. I had heard about Daniel from several motorcyclists that his assessment tutorials were invaluable no matter what your level. From the moment I arrived Daniel’s professionalism and confidence put me in the right frame of mind. The entire day from start to finish was comprehensive in all aspects of motorbike riding, Daniel’s kind and courteous manner at all times made me feel secure safe and confident. If you are planning to learn or refresh the skill of motorbike riding and it is a skill you could not go wrong with expert tuition from Daniel, I will be back for repeat assessments as all motorcyclists no matter what their skill need an unbiased viewpoint of their riding skills.

Our Student Says…

Many thanks for all your help. On Monday the 14th of September I had my first lesson and I was a very nervous beginner. On Friday the 2nd of October I passed my full manual driving test. What happened in between was nothing short of a miracle! I cannot thank you enough for your patient, firm and persistant coaching. You constantly told me what I needed to do and you constantly reminded me of where I was going wrong. You were encouraging all the way and slowly but surely we eliminated each error. I am now completely confident behind the wheel and I am delighted that I will have your ‘comfort driving’ safety driving skills for life.

– Patrick Callinan, Galway

Wet Weather Driving

First and foremost: slow down! It takes longer to stop or adjust in wet weather. Stay toward the middle lanes – water tends to pool in the outside lanes. Maintain proper following distance (3 Second Rule). This needs to be increased in wet weather. Drive in the tracks of a car ahead of you. Don’t follow large trucks or buses too closely. The spray created by their large tires reduces your vision. Take care when passing them as well; if you must pass, do so quickly and safely. Be more alert when driving in wet or slippery conditions. Watch out […]
